Kepler

If all goes well, Friday night will see NASA attempt to launch the Kepler Mission from Cape Canaveral on a Delta II rocket. Kepler is a fascinating mission: the search for earth-like (or at least earth-sized, there is a substantial difference!) planets in the Milky Way. Launch is currently scheduled for 10:49:57 p.m. EST (0349 UTC Saturday morning). The nice thing about living in Florida is being able to see the Cape launches, the night ones in particular. I've gotten a request to live-Twitter what I see of the launch, so I plan on being up on the roof with binoculars and iPod for the liftoff.

Meanwhile, I've been tagged. Looks like fun, I'll be sure to do that as soon as I get the chance. Thank you, Jeremy Perez :) I already know who I'm going to tag, MUWAHAHAHAHA!!!

Clear skies!
